depends on how hard you want to come out of the hole. to me my car loved the 325 radials. also IMO the 275/60 look like a truck tire b/c they are narrow.

Even though I have ran better on 275/60s then the 325/50 to date the 325 is no doubt a better tire. I had a completely different suspension tuneup when I was was using the 275s that was much more radial friendly.

3.70 is a good all around gear with a 28" tire, I have ran this same 3.70 since the car was running 10.40s to present. Really depends on the max rpm and MPH you are expecting to see at your power level. And what size tires of course..

But you also have to consider how important the off the spray ETs are as well, if you want to give up some on the nitrous you can move up to a 3.90 or 4.10 for better NA ETs but you may run out of RPM on the spray.

As far as the tire side there are very few constants in drag racing, but one is wider tired will hook better. May take a few more more HP to pust it down the track but its a good tradeoff for more consistent hooking.

325 if you have rims to fit it, and the desire to BFH as needed.

The 325 will obviously be the better tire, but you can run some good times with a 275. I've seen an LTx car run well into the 5s and cut a 1.3x on a 275. It's all in the suspension setup.

Ive had both and the 325's are more forgiving and are just a better tire in my book.

1.288 60' and 5.81 has been my best on 275/60s, havent made a good pass on a 325s yet but the wheel hop kinda put me off on them. Once I get the car running where I want it I'll fool with the 325s more, but there is no doubt more traction to had with the 325s.

If you can work with the 275 60 15 you'll only have to go low 8's to be competitive =)

325 50 15, you'll have to step up to mid 7's =/

Go with the 325's

How much more beating and banging is required? I know that's kind of a vague question...

Is it just me, or do the 325's seem to fit better on the Firebirds? I mean they don't seem to stick out past the quarters as much as they do on a Camaro. Anybody with a Camaro having trouble with 325's rubbing the quarters at launch?

BTW, I voted for 275's for this reason.

That's what I thought. I noticed a lot of the 325 Camaro guys are narrowed/mini tubbed.
