quick question about 5pt harness
quick question about 5pt harness is my 5pt still up to spec?
also i bought this helmet a year and a half ago, when i had my 4 wheeler, will it pass tech, thanks. im going to the track for the first time and want to make sure all the safty stuff is good.

Since no one ever punched the date its good until 2 years after someone punches a date in it I suppose.
There should be more then one of those tags on the belts and one should be punched, maybe..
As long as the helmet is 'M' Snell K98 or above it will be OK, unless its a front engined open body or funny car then you need an SA (nomex liner) Snell helmet.

I had some belts one time that were not punched too, I used them till the newest date possible was out dated.
Before they started punching them, they stamped the date with ink. Finger nail polish remover and a new stamped date took care of it.
If you have a window net, tear the tag off and then it's good forever.

Damn, I'd punch that bitch with DEC '08 and that way you're good until DEC '10. Only thing is that the tech guys might catch it if you get one of the veterans. 
The normal tolerance is two years. After that you can send it back to them and have it recertified, or buy a new one. Last time I checked it is $75 to get it re-certified. I'd sell it to someone on eBay who doesn't care about the date, and then buy a new one.
