What launch speed?

Back on-topic, i ran a 235/60/15 MT DR for a little while when i still had a M6. I could leave around 3000rpm with a quick clutch release, not a all out clutch dump. This netted me 1.59 60's. I was only making about 380rwhp at the time.
What brand of DR's are they, that'll make a big difference. I would start low around 2k and work your way up till you just get a little spin so you dont bog. That should net you the best 60 ft/ET.

He runs an auto with a 3500 stall, I doubt he'll bog and why post techniques for leaving with a stick shift?

Spinning the tires a little won't result in the best 60ft.
Whole point in an auto without a transbrake is to try to preload the tire before you leave.
Hold down the brake rev up on the converter some then gas it and if it spins try dropping the rpm you stall up to a little at a time.

You are going to have to try different RPM speeds. Its prolly gonna be hard to look at the tach and watch the light, so the 1st few times, screw the light and look at the tach and pay attention to the sound of the motor and let her ripp... Thats the way I started and can pretty much tell by the sound of the motor.
But, for me, trying to revv the car up as high as I can without rolling thru the beam seems to net me my best 60'.

Why do you have DRs on a car you've never raced?
