Tire+Susp set up?? Help
15 lbs of air in the tires, with that chassis weight you will want a little more air then most people will run. Being that my car's a little heavy as well, I have found this to be true (I am at 3440 with me in the car currently)
Start with the front shocks on 4, rears probbaly on 5 in the left rear, 6 on the right rear. This will help keep the car level.
If the car doesn't feel like it's transferring weight right, try putting the front shocks on 3, and if the car is squatting alot (with your weight this "could" happen) then put the rear shocks at 6/7, and if that doesn't solve it, go 7/8. I doubt you will have to get to 7/8 but it's possible.
Good luck, let us know how it runs!
I air on the side of caution probably too much though.
If they are single adjustable I'd run it on #2 front
Double adjustable I would run it 1/10
Single adjustable drag valved I would run it #1 .
4/4 or 5/5 in the rear, I wouldn't recommend running different rates side to side, that's why they make anti roll bars.
I didn't hear you say you are running a trans brake so 200 shot with an auto and your gears shouldn't be a wheelie problem.
I don't tune my cars with just shocks, I try to leave the shock settings the same and either limit the front suspension lift or add preload with the anti roll bar or make a link adjustment, a shock is for fine tuning, because a shock isn't going to cure all of your problems you need to get all of your intersection and preload done first.
As far as tire pressure start around 18 and drop it 2 psi for the second pass, then 1 psi at a time until you get the fastest 60ft without losing mph, or if you slow down go back to the last setting, go a 1/2 psi once you're close.
Then once you get it on the motor running straight and hooking good spray it.
Video the car, keep a log book with all of your settings and results, only change one thing at a time till you get used to dialing in your car. Then try to be consistent with burnouts and staging.
Good luck.
