Less than 10% I said, measured with a real driveshaft sensor vs engine RPM. I dont think its so bad for a 5500 8" converter myself but you know..

silver, I want the car to be stronger on motor and have nitrous be something I play with on a limited basis. So I ordered an 8" one that will probably stall to around peak torque, so like a 5400-5500.

ATI's are not bad but a more efficiant convertor would probably really help your car. when i switched to my coan i picked up a good bit just from the efficiancy.

The guy is not running any power adders, the ATI 8" converter will be fine for his NA set-up, they're on sale now also.

Sure, send one down and I'll try one out, takes me about two hours to swap converters. If it picks up one tenth in the 1/4 mile I'll pay full price for it. If it doesnt you take it back for a full refund no questions asked. Deal

Thanks John. I want mine to run good on motor as well so im going with around a 4000 stall. I will be spraying a 200 shot after its all said and done so i need to give myself a little room for that. I will call them tomorrow and chat with them and see what they say.

Without the trans brake 2000rpm works best for me, with the brake 3500rpm on the 2 step will net the beast 60 foot but will also put the car on the bumper sometimes so I usually keep the 2 step around 2800rpm.

Something you have to experiment with, FWIW my 60 foot time with or without the brake are extremely close.
