I have. Built my own drag sway bar, torque arm, TA mount to rearend. I also fabbed up my own rear lower control arms using aluminum tubing from Coleman Racing.

For Heim joints I bought all that I needed at once from e-bay. It was the best price I could find. I think they are QA1.

I don't have any track time with anything I have built as the car is not finished but it has been worth a shot!!

Give it a shot!

If you're building a torque arm I would imagine you'd be using 1 1/4" tubing so you would use a 3/4 thread tubing adapter and 3/4 thread 5/8 hold rod end for the front and use solid rod ends in the rear same size or 3/4 by 3/4 solid in the rear.

Will your torque arm mount in a stationary bracket up front or use plates that pivot?

I can tell you how to make it a little more adjustable so you have about 50% more adjustment in the front.

I was planning on a solid mount up front, and the front bracket having 3 or 4adjustment bolt holes where the torque arm mounts. good idea?
Wheres a good place/brand to buy for the heims?

You don't need those for torque arms, those are the metal bushings that go on the side of the rod ends to space them from the side of the brackets.

The same thing they use on offset lower control arms.

What heims are you guys useing, I just don't want to go too small and have a "big surprise" at the track. I just want to be safe.

Thanks all the info from everyone so far.

QA1 3 piece c-moly 3/4 thread 5/8 hole rod end for the front and use solid rod ends 3/4 by 3/4 solid in the rear.

3 or 4 holes up front isn't much, since it uses a slider I would recommend running 2 sets of holes 5 in the front and 5 behind those that staggers the hole location so you have 5 holes in the front and 5 holes behind and inbetween each one of those, so you actually get 10 location points of adjustment that will be much finer tuning than just holes stacked on top of each other.

You can also add sets of holes in the rear where the torque arm mounts to the rear, which would give you 20 possible location points for the t/a, lots of adjustably
