When you have drag shocks and you launch, if you have them on soft, the weight is going to transfer to the back and you are going to have that gap. You need to find the sweet spot with your shocks when you're at the track. The gap you're talking about isn't that bad. Now if you are launching, the wheels come up, and then the car unloads and you get wheel spin when it comes back down, then you have a problem.

The gap is normal if youre pulling the fronts. Look at the pic of Matt D in his sig. If you dont like the gap either limiters on the front lower a arm,or what Matt is saying play with the adjustments on youre shocks, tighten up the front and the shock will unload slower.

the car looks good to me, if you limit the travel too much it will not properly load the rear tires and probably cause spin. I wouldn't worry about limiting the front until you have a problem with controlling the height of the wheelstand.

This is how mine is, and I have no problems with traction or unloading the tires when it comes back down, and I'm on a 8" slick:

Not trying to brag but until your launches look like mine I wouldnt worry about limiting the front end.. I am still finding broken stuff after this one..

What makes the tires unload when the front comes back down? Mine actually did that last time out.

If the nose rises too fast that usually means its not going to stay up as long so when the nose comes back down too soon all that weight that was transferred to the rear is now coming back to the front. So the tires will hook then spin. A typical problem when the front struts are too soft. You want the nose to lift but a slower rate so it keeps load on the tires through first 30ft or so. -Mark

Better yet cut out the front fenders like big tire imports and run a 30" tall front tire, that way you still have front suspension travel
