Just to give you a heads up the gasket around the filler tube area is a bitch to get off.
I just cut the metal around it then sliced it into a few pieces then pealed the metal off a piece at a time, then took a screw driver and pulled on the gasket while I stabbed it into the gasket.
I only have to cut out the t-top hump now so you better hurry up and get on it couch potato and stop waiting for me to post pics and mess up first, you're the test dummy

The stuff I cut in the back was 38 pounds Grand total 112 pounds of metal removed.
I started on the rear floor, I got some 18 gauge steel for the one piece to cover the t-top hump area, I cut it to 35.5" by 16" and bend a 1" lip on the front side to weld to the factory seam that runs across, it was easy to make only took me like 20 minutes to bend it by hand and trim it some. It weighs 7 pounds, I could have used thinner stuff but I use the trunk and put my speaker box right there. So I saved 11 pounds removing the t-top hump, because it weighed 18 pounds.
I'll post more pics in a couple days, I will take them as I am doing the stuff though.
So far 112 removed with only 14 pounds put back in, I will weigh the aluminum tubs after I cut and fit them.

Tubs are done have you been working on yours? I got the tub to cover the entire area from the bottom of the body in the front to the trunk floor, I will take pics for you soon, it came out pretty good.
A few more cuts on my hands but oh well =)
Got the back seat in, tubs look "big, they go all the way to the top of the back seat.
I took measurements for you so you'd have a head start where to place to tub.

I have another frame waiting to be put back together too. It is a 1970 Chevelle
Here is the 1969 Z28 that is done and waiting to be delivered to the Customer. It is a real Z28 302 car
So I hope to have a little more free time now that we are in our new building and starting to get caught up. I still have a whole bunch of work to do to customers car but atleast I can get back on mine

Not to get off topic... but whats a general idea of how much they are getting to coat your frames? I cant find anyone in VA that will do a frame for a reasonable price. Fell free to PM me if you dont want to post a price here. Thanks.

There is a place here in Houston that did both frames and all the rears, a-arms, crossmembers and a bunch of other little stuff all for 750.00
We bring them allot of stuff so they cut us a really good deal
