Default Rear suspension set-ups.....

What's everyone running in the back for shocks & springs? Strictly drag set-up with no concern for street friendliness. I have QA1 F-series up front (single adj.) w/ 300# springs...stock shocks & springs in back. So what do you run/reccommend??

in the higher quality rank, i'd go with AFCO's. they have the best valving range. next best is Strange. AFCO's will come threaded to install coil-overs if ever needed.

Afco has my vote, changing the valving actually does something to the shock LOL

Stock rear springs and shocks for now Strange or AFCO later but that's after the rear-end is in.

Oh I am running 10" 150# coil over springs and c/e 3 way adjustable on my rear set to 50/50.

If I went with some thing nicer it would be coilover afco's

Are coil-overs still considered 'stock style'?

Are there any AFCO dealers on the site? Links??

I'm not sure if they would be stock style but i know some one makes a kit that uses a hole in the upper spring mount area and it bolts to the lower shock mount and it is a coil over.

How fast have you been on that setup? We ended up going with 175# springs and 40-way double adjustable AFCO's

Fastest I went with this car was 11.30's, haven't done much to this car, I had my nova that I raced this has always been my DD, finally starting to build this car up.

Doing the mini tub/drag radials now with plans for a turbo. When I went 11.30s they didn't even have a m/t drag radial out this was back in 1999 or 2000

40 way double adjustable, damn bet those cost a few $$$$

I have a few springs I can try a lot of my friend drag race, I just got a set of 130# 12" free today off my buddys 72 nova, he runs a 95# spring, but his car is like 2450 pounds.

I just got the 150# 10" when I went 11.30's it was with c/e shocks and stock springs in back with an air bag.

A few people I know run the 150# spring so I went with that since my car is similar in weight.

Why did you end up going with the 175# spring? Your car looks pretty light.

Kind of hard to compare setups, yours makes like 3.5 the power mine does lol.

What are you faster guys running for LCA setups? I know a lot of you run madmans t/a, I have seen a ton of photos of cars and setups but no one seems to be running the double adjustable brackets, are they not legal in the stock suspension classes?
