Default Weight ?'s

Hey guys how much do u think a car weighs with the following weight reductions: (its a 93 hardtop with an ls1 in it)

!front and rear bumper supports
Cut the extra metal on the fender supports
1 kirke aluminum drag seats
!abs
!heating lines and acces.
!a/c and all the junk with it
!ebrake
TH-350 tranny
!spare tire and jack
!wipers and motor
BMR torque arm
BMR tubular front end
15"Draglites all the way around w/ skinnies on the front and 28x10 on the back
!rear speakers
Gutted stock carpet
! rear speakers (may get rid of the whole radio system)
trimed metal behind fenders
removed backing supports for bumper mounts about
still thinking about removing power steering and adding a electric water pump.

Future: May have to put a cage and a 9" in it

I will have QA1's installed shortly and light weight brakes. Anything else easy you can think of? I don't want to take out the doorbars for safety reasons (no cage). How much do you think this car weighs? I mean it looks like there is no motor in the front of this car thats how high it sits.

Best way is to look at the weight sticky and add up all the stuff you took out.

If I had to guess I would say 3,100 something

Hell I hope my car comes out light, it sure is getting easier to roll around lol.

I have no bumpers, no spare tire or jack, removed 53 pounds from mini tubbing, took out the carpet and will run that light weight stuff, took out all of the heater and a/c stuff, removed the power steering pump, I think mine was 3150 before I mini tubbed it or took out the power steering pump, or the bumpers. So I think I have taken an extra 140 or so pounds, man I'd love to get it under 3000k

Oh I think I had 18"s on the car too so minus weight for the drag rims and also went with rear wilwood brakes, maybe I am under 3k

I'm not willing to have the stripped look. I'll be leaving trim in and running some light weight carpet. It would be nice to get down to a 3200-3300 race weight.

Man I could stand to lose the 30lbs I put back on since I quit working out.

I would say it is around 2900-3000. Mine is 2825 now, and will be down to 2700 after the drag brake setup, lightweight battery, and door bar removal.
