Default drag set up on the street

what are the downsides to running a drag race set up on the street. I plan on using stock springs, AFCOs, BMR K member with control arms, and the whole Mad man rear suspension set up. I will not be using slicks and skinnies on the street except to drive to the track. I know a lot of you drive your stuff on the street, let me know what I'm in for.

Thanks
AJ

Basically a loss in cornering ability and more nose dive under hard braking.

As far as the suspension pieces, they tend to produce more noise and need to be cleaned and lubricated more often than poly type suspension components.

Not really any downsides

Not as stable in the rain
Not as much contact patch on the front so braking is hurt alittle but I never had any problems
BMR is suited better for the street car setup then most other K-members.
Wheels can be an issue if you run really light weight wheels. Prostars or Draglights would be fine.

I did it for 2 years everyday.

I will only be driving to and from the track on the slicks and skinnies the rest of the driving will be done on 17x9 fronts and 17x11 CCWs, so rain driving is a non factor. I figured with the stock springs brake dive shouldn't be too bad but stopping distance will go up and I'll have to take it very easy on the country roads. Can the AFCOs be adjusted to act somewhat like the stockers during street driving?

I don't think you can run the stock springs on afco coil overs on the front. Afco's use their own spring.

I wont have it any other way. Nothing like waking up in the mourning and driving to work hearing every rattle, torque arm banging around, anti roll bar toss the car around on big dips.

It makes you all fuzzy inside

If you will run a solid anti roll bar cornering will be poor. Also places a lot of strain on the mount locations. It can't flex like a sway bar.
