Default Torque Arm Angle.

What is the optimum Angle for a Torque Arm or just a good place to start? I'm installing a new Adjustable (tranny mount) TA?

What lower control arms do you have ? If you have rod /rod end I would run about -1.5 pinion angle and if you have poly/poly lower control arms I would run about -2.5.

As far as the torque arm if you have a umi is it a tunnel mount with 2 holes?

Do you have lower control arm relocation brackets?

If you don't have relocation brackets I would try the top hole in the torque arm.

If you have relocation brackets I would use the bottom hole and start with the bottom hole on the torque arm to start with.

My car is not lowered. I have Hotchkis LCAs, QA1 adjustables and a Random Tech torque arm set at 3 degrees negative pinion angle. I get 1.57 60's with a 3,600 vig and 3.73s.

My car is lowered and an a4 with a 4400 stall. I have a UMI trans mounted torque arm set at -2.5, and I have double rod ended LCAs with the relocation brackets. I have gone 1.47 60fts with an 8" slick.
