He must have figured it out... It held enough to break his trans. One inch from the top??? Needs to be mid travel.

My Cartek setup worked awesome at the track, each one lasted a full racing season and about 20K miles of use. 1.4s in a 3625 lb car, all-motor, is pretty brutal on a clutch.

I'm going to try a RAM setup in the '69 Camaro now.

My bad... I got you confused with DERTY. You might try using the adjustable MC to move the engagement point closer to the floor.

man , you got me scared for a moment there

well i did adjust the MC to get the engagement point lower, it feels wired now?? (nothing wrong, just different).

the thing i noticed is that the engagement point moved closer to the floor board, but as i let the clutch in ( pedal going up) and after i reach the engagment point, well after the that point the pedal goes into the dead pedal feel (just like having slack), is that ok?? or am i just paranoid?

I use a McLeod single disk and have dozens of high 1.5's under my belt...funny thing is that the flywheel and pressure plate are over 2 years old and all I did was replace the disk(not that it really need it though)

Of all the cars I have driven at the track the McLeod twin disk wins hands down for engagement being smooth and easy and holding whatever people throw at it.

Maybe you broke your clutch pedal return spring. I've heard of a few guys who've done that recently. Once the clutch has fully engaged the pressure plate wouldn't be pushing the pedal back up, so only the return spring would be pushing. With a broken return spring it would just feel loose above the engagement point. Right? Feel free to set me straight if i don't know what i'm talking about.

i don't think it's broken , because when i disconnect the master cylinder rod from the pedal and push the pedal in , i get some resistance . and when i pull the pedal off the floor it pops right up.
