bumper supports

i know ive removed mine but my daily i wont remove them from but i just had a frient part out a camaro that was wrecked and pulled the back bumper support from it and it was plastic...i couldent see it weighting more than 15 pounds...its like completely plastic? its from a 2000 i believe my cars a 95...so ls1 cars have plastic supports front and back or back only or not at all?

i know that have plastic piece in front of the support to hold the bumper up but i think this ones completely plastic....

the front on mine was 20 pounds the rear was 19

i know but i think my stock one was probably 30 pounds...im wondering if lt1 cars have heavier ones?

93-02 bumper supports are all the same.
If it's your daily driver, do not remove them for your safety.
And they do have a good weight on them, especially the fronts.

its not about the safety ect i just wont remove them i dd my white car without them for 2 years and 20000 miles....just wondering if ls1 had lighter ones even the later years...i guess this one is weird...im goana take pics itsway lighter...too bad the front was destroyed

I just pulled the front ones off mine and the plastic supports weighed 16#'s and the metal bumper weighed 24#'s. So i'm not sure if ls1 and lt1 cars have the same.

It doesn't really matter how many years or miles you drove the car without them, it only takes one wreck to wish you'd left them on the car.

The rear one on my '95 'bird is plastic and the front one is steel.
