Ultimate Air conditions? Since we've had a recent temp drop here in north central FL, I decided to take my weather station out this morning to see what the feedback was. Until this point, I had raced in -1000 DA air once (December 2006) and -500 DA air once (January 2004).
At 8:30 am:
35.1 F temp
31.6 Humidity
14.2 Dewpoint
30.72 Barometer
All this equals: -2352 DA
Man I wish the track was open (and I had the Nova running to take advantage of it)!

Bradenton is not running tonight or I would definitely be setting a new personal best! Finally get a good cold night and they're closed!
I did take her out in the cold last night just because it was cold and it does burn the tires clean off.

I've run in -1000 before, was like ~40 degrees. First run picked the front end up as high as it ever has and had the 1.25 in my sig... Next run picked them up and spun so hard I was almost facing the wall and had to completely let out the second the wheels touched.
Raced in plenty of -DA's late this year but it was so cold the track was junk. Would always spin a little leaving and walked around down track which would kill 2-3.
It's not so bad if the sun is at least out, it's when it's overcast that it kills you.
Around here the best combo we get is about a DA of 1000 and 60 degrees.
