Battery box install tips?
Battery box install tips? I have a Taylor box, looking at NHRA rules it appears the box should be mounted to the frame. The sides of the T-Top wells look like the closest thing to a "frame" back there, I'm considering a setup like this, pardon the rough sketch

You don't have to weld it to a frame, it just has to be securely mounted, if you want to mount it in the t-top hump, just use the bottom tray and mark the holes and drill them, should be 3/8".
I had mine mounted exactly the same few years back without any issues.
You could also put some large size washers on the bottom if you wanted to reinforce the area a bit.
