That's easy. I seen a mid 12 second car lose a coolant hose and he slid in his own water, right into the wall. ANYTHING can happen.

I have had a crash once, but I missed some really close calls. Spun the tires at Moroso motorsports and hit the wall hard, just stayed with a bad run a little to long.........

Nothing as drastic as John's crash last year in the funny car. No briken bones, blood a couple of times. Truly a wake up call though and a greater respect for what can happen.

I rubbed the wall once, not enough to damage the car or even the paint too much, only took a little paint off, but it could have been worse since I thought I was not going to stop in time and nail the wall. I never raced with street tires again...

Hmm I seem to remember that run. Blue 2nd gen Camaro I believe during a rain-filled weekend....

I've seen plenty of drag racing wrecks but thankfully I haven't been in any as of yet. But after seeing a bunch and how drivers walk away it makes me understand and be thankful for the safety requirements.

Luckily not me. I've seen a few bad ones, not a good feeling.

Closest I've been is my dad forgot to put the fuel cap on (mounted up front). Front end sat down and the car got all stupid and went for the wall. Had one on flirting with the bumper and stirring up dust towards the wall but I never felt like it was close to out of shape.

I came pretty close to the wall last year, it scared the sh*t out of me. There was something on the track though, as many were getting the tires kicking out

Id rather crash at the track....If you hit the wall right, you can lets say bounce off it or skim it rather than hitting a fucken light pole
