Default which one?
which set up would be faster a tq converter with gears on an a4 or a headers and cam on a m6 ?

Faster? M6
Quicker? A4

On the freeway, that M6 would absolutely smoke the A4 in question. At the track, it would depend on the tires used and how good a driver is in the M6.
