Default Kirkey Knock offs??

One of my buddies said there was a company that made Kirkey knock offs and were very nice and cheaper as well. Anyone know what company this is and who sells them?

Ultrashield makes a comparable seat...really comfy from what I hear, moreso than a kirkey, but haven't ever sat in one to compare.

FF- You used Corbeau brackets/slider with your seats, right? Would you remember a part# for those?

I just saw on one of the sponsor sites that they could only sell the Corbeau bracket with the purchast of one of their seats. Don't know if that applies everywhere or not.

Damn, I've been clicking search for a while looking for something like these brackets. I take it you would still have to run the kirkey brackets to mate the seat to the lower bracket?

Yes do a search, there are a few who posted pics on mounting the seats with the Kirkey brackets, on top of these brackets.

Unless you want the seats LOW, use the Kirkey brackets.

The reason I remember those links is I searched HIGH AND LOW for some brackets.

I've done some serious searches, and this is the first on that I remember with those summit brackets. Thanks for the link.

Well, I just bought all of my seat mounting stuff from Summit. I'll be sure to take some pics and make a little write-up about it to eliminate some of the confusion out there.

they are easy to mount. If you want them to be legal this is about the best way.

The bottom to the back two posts on the floor

Then the back to the cage, Like NHRA says you have to.

I was not sure if I would be ok with it but after driving the car it is great! It even looks pretty nice and comfy too!

That's why I bought the seat bracket from Summit. I'm 5'9, and my wife is only 5'3. She wants to drive some this year so I need it to adjust. I guess I'll see how it turns out.

I'm 6'3 and with my kirkey's on the floor I can see fine, at least right now. If I ever get one of those joe van O hoods that come to the windshield, I dunno if I will be able to see. I may have to call them and see if they can make one that's only a 2 or 3 inch cowl.
