removing door bars??????
ive seen a car hit a pole sideways from 70mph racing....the door bar was straight as an arrow...but the floorboard was pushed in 12 inches or so by the pole and the roof also....door was destroyed...but the doorbar was still in great shape...guy thinks its what saved his life...
Very valid point guys... I had considered taking mine out but it just isn't worth it. I drive mine too often and theres too many idiots on the road. WHat a kick in the pelotas that would be to get tboned by some moron and then have ur claim denied...

It's my understanding SI bars are required in all new products but I wouldn't bet the next beer on it.
I think I am knowledgable but I made a mistake on the following. It was pointed out the Malibu before the last change didn't have child safety locks. Same damn thing applied to the Impala. So now when I am doing a walk around I open the friggen door to confirm. In my eyes that would kill a deal if I had kids. Who in the hell runs GM?

p.s is lexan glass legal to run on the street? XXXX all these government rules. Hell people are permitted to jump out of moving air planes. Why can't I drive my car 150 mph with an open beer smoking a cigar if I want to?

I ran 33x16.5 slicks, full cage and lexan windows with a dzus on hood and trunk in my old nova for almost 3 years on the street and never got stopped
You probably have a better chance getting pulled over these days for tinted windows or a sticker that some cop thinks is obstructive
