Default Opinion on tires

Ok. heres the story. i need new tires for my 94 M6 LT1 T/A. I just bought used eagle F1 runflats and sitting at 20psi, 1st gear is useless at WOT. thats with the stock gears. I'm about to put 4.10s in it which wont help my traction problems. i already have LCA and am now looking for my next set of rear tires. i need 2 275/40/18s. give or take a little sidewall. or whatever the widest tire that will fit on a 18x9.5. i was thinking nitto 555s or something like that may even consider drag radials. any advise?

drag radials will work, but they wear out fast, the nitto's don't hook as good as an m/t radial, but it'll last longer, either way you get a softer compound tire, it hooks a little better, but you can't put too much technology in a tire with a 2" side wall, it just isn't going to hook like a set of 15" drag radials.

I think they make something around a 275 40 18 or 305 which should fit fine on a 9.5 rim.

I saw a zo6 with 18 inch BFG Drag Radials pull the left front a foot and a half off the ground.
