will new clutch help 60's
From what was provided to you do you understand why your RPM's are dropping? So, if you don't want to spend money is there anything you can do? You were told you perhaps needed a little more tire spin, right? Well you could try 6,000 hammer drops but even Jake says that's too high. There is a guy here name Matt that posts. He has much more experience with your particular car. He also has a following of 27 or 28 person who directly communicate with him daily. He might have another idea.
But for no cost, if you carry a air tank, you might try pumping those DR's up from the 17# you said you run before you do your tire smoking burn out in the water box. With your gear and the tire you get a little tire rotation at the drop of the clutch with no other change at the starting line.. You might also try a dry hop. Skip the water box turn yur tures a couple of times before the starting line.

also 4.10 might get a better 60 but also its similar to raising the rpm...they become weaker...4.10 arent as strong as 3.42
the clutch needs to not be dropped...but rather a quick slip...youll still bog its not goana grab and be at 5000 but if you can keep it above 3500 then your doing good...take it to 5000 and do a quick slip over 3/4 of a second and you should be close...problem is it can eventually take its toll on a clutch
best thing is to have saved for a rearend then beat on the stocker...get another one with 3.90 or 4.10 or something to match your needs....then you can do 6500 rpm dumps if needed
