I dont mind my true trac. I personally like it. Took a little getting use to but I like it. I have another racing partner who decided to do the spool in his car and it eat's tires and is not friendly when turning or pushing the car. To each his own. I have beat the crap out of my true trac and it hasnt let go yet. And my car is 3900 pounds.

I don't know what to tell you, I have had a spool in my camaro for the last 3 years, I have run slicks, regular street tires 275 60 15 and low profile tires 35 and 40 series on my car and I never had any problem with vibration.

Before that I drove a nova with a spool for a few years before that, will a true trac break, I sure hope not if you get one, but I wouldn't recommend puting 800+ hp to the ground with out some serious parts in the rear end.

I am sure everyone has suggestions, but who has driven anything with 800+ hp before? How many of the people have a spool on their car or street drove a spool on the street? Just make sure you get advice from people who have it or have done it.

There comes a point where your street car needs race parts, whether your engine is streetable or not you need to remember parts have power limits and when you blast down the track I hope for your sake that whatever you pick gets you to the end safe.

if you have a spool and low profile street tires, the rear will hop around turns and vibrate. theres no way around it. will it be worse for some people than others? sure. but it will happen. it didnt bother me too much, but it is kinda annoying. my wife hated it though

How fast have you gone at the track and what was the fastest 60ft you've ran on your true trac?

How does an Eaton posi compare to a True Trac for a high 11 sec f-body with a 1.57 60'?

Spool is fine with the ET radials, thats what I ran last year. Even with my cooper 275/40/17's run at about 28psi it softens the hit on slow speed turns tremendously. Honestly the biggest thing I did to make the spool less noticable was to get the torque arm off the transmission. I had a couple people drive my car that didn't notice the spool at all and one was a girl. Spool>locker.

Iīm trying to find how much hp the true trac can take,i donīt like the idea to use a locker if i can skip it,i would just put a spool in it on the strip
if you are useing a auto, go with the locker. It drives fine and with a auto you wont even know it is in there. If you have a 800HPcar chances are you will never hear it clicking in a turn at all
now a 6 speed is another story it bucks and jerks in a turn because instead of just clicking it locks and un-locks
I know this because I have a 35 splin locker in my car and I just swap a 6 speed out for a 4L80E

bottom line is you will never know it is a locker in a auto car
