burkhart chassis, sponsor listed on the right. Get ahold of Chuck, he can set up up with a setup. Requires use of a motor plate, but more then worth it.

Hey Paul, I see you post over on Chitown and the NMCA board. Welcome to LS1Tech.

I use a chrome moly k-member and chrome moly upper & lower a-arms from PA Racing. For shocks, I use the QA1 "R"s with the 275lbs springs (car weighs 2800lbs). I have the stock rack with the lines looped since I took off the power steering. For brakes, mine are stock, but I am going to the PA Racing spindles and Strange drag brakes here shortly.

As stated we can set you up with a Motor Plate system. They will be going on sale in a few days.

I just bought a PA myself. Hard to beat the price and weight savings.

I just bought and installed mine back in January. It fit PERFECT. It was the uppers, lowers, and k-member, all in chrome moly.

Haha, that's me. I forgot we pitted together that weekend. I have a really lousy memory.

The BMR stuff is really good quality. There are a lot of guys out there running their stuff and love it. I personally went with PA Racing because they are local, I got a package deal on the k-member and both upper & lower a-arms that BMR couldn't beat, and BMR didn't offer chrome moly and PA did. I am all about putting the best and lightest components in my car. I was really impressed with the quality and fitment of the PA stuff. I am going to be running the PA spindles and Strange drag brakes all around eventually.

Oh, speaking of FSC magazine, did you get the new one with the white TA on the cover? Check out page 129; the Hawk Performance add. Does that car look familiar?

I had Jason make it with his engine stands so I can use a polyurethane bushing. I drive the car a lot on the street and wanted to do a poly over the solid. I forget what the price was, but it was better than everyone else at the time. I think he is running a sale right now as a matter of fact.

Mine just showed up earlier this week. I haven't done the install yet. I plan on ditching the stock cast iron engine stands for the spohns...still waiting on them.

It looks to me like the 1.15" center bar that you jack the car up on wouldn't support the weight. Does it not bow up when you jack the car up?

I wouldn't jack the car up by the k-member. I throw it on the SFCs and then put a jack stand on each side of the car. I don't want to mess up the pretty black powder coating on the k-member.

yeah, I've jacked up the front of my car using it. It's plenty strong enough.
