Default just another list of weight ive removed...

i know alot of people have posted about weight they have taken out so i thought id share. im a broke blue collar worker so removing **** was the easiest/cheapest way to go fast...

1st off the car is a stripper hardtop, no options at all....

im not done with everything, ill note that when it comes up...

also im starting from the front of the car to the rear...

BEGIN!

1st off i removed everything under the front bumper (only thing holding it on is the fenders and top peice by the latch which is also removed)

i need to trim off the lower plastic lip on the bumper

removed latch and all hood assembley, grinded off all metal that hood assembly peices went too, also includes removing inner fender brace were the hood arm things bolt to on the fenders. so yeah i need a pin on hood now.

charcoal canister

fog lights

grinded out metal were battery stood. relocated battery to were the pcm is using an odyssey battery. made up a tray for it...

removed front sway bar

removed stock overflow resavor (metals gone anyways) summit sells a small plastic one, uses stock line, bolted it up to front upper frame rail.

sawz all the huge chunk of metal under the radiator, bout 2 inches left on each side.

grinded off inner fender metal (PITA)

removed abs

removed powersteering

removed front bumper support AND grinded off the tabs that held the support on.

remove stock k member, get chromolly tubular

removed stock motor mounts. putting in spohn solids.

im leaving on the stock lower/upper a arms cuzz thats a **** load of money for about 13lbs or so, so i heard.

removed a/c heater.

removed wipers/motor/and all cowl metal

pulled carpet, removed **** from the backside

pulled dash, removed airbag, all venting for ac/hvac unit ect ect. i got alot of wire trimmed outa dash.

removed glove box

removed radio/speakers/wire

removed stock steering wheel/put in a grant

removed airbag module under center concole and concole and all metal not needed under there.

removed ebrake and lines

remove door impact bars (havet done this yet)

removing side bars by rear seat, havent done this cuz i dont feel like drilling out the spot welds right now.

removed all seats, put in one kirkey

remove all stock seat belts and grinded off metal mounts

dont run an exhaust system, i have magnaflow mufflers right off my headers.

removed antenna

removed rear bumper support

thats all i can think of right now, its still in a billion peices.

Damn you went all out. Might wanna check out the Ozite carpet to drop another ~20lbs., just a suggestion since it looks like every little bit will add up for you.

The piece under the radiator is just the radiator perch/crossmember correct? I was looking at cutting that out but didn't know how flimsy that would make it. Pics???

Should be well under 3000 unless you're a 300 pound guy, the mini tub will help if you want to drop weight, if you do a full size tub with 40" tubs and cut out the rear fender area and t-top hump like I did you'll lose at least 90 more pounds.

Also since it is a drag only car consider a 5 gallon fuel cell vs. the stock tank.
