Question Wolf 6 point ??

Ok I'm looking into getting a 6 point from wolf(bolt in). I was just wondering how much lighter is the cromoly compared to the mild steel?

Also wich is better the rear bars to the wheel wells or to the flat area behind the seats?

I did the math once, but I forget...DEF go with the cromoly

its worth the extra money

I went with rear bars the wheel wells. I think its more of a personal preference. Wheel well option seemed to have more room

did you even check the wolfe website??? If you did then you would know that it tells you the weights: Mild steel 6 pt 80-85 lbs c.m. 6 pt. 60-65 lbs , 20lbs diff +/- 5 yes the mild steel is a lot cheaper but the name of the game is weight reduction, so spend the extra$$$ if you have it and also buy the weld in cage instead. my .02

why not , do it right the first time. i like to think of it like this: I put a cage in my car to save my life , do i trust a few bolts to shear off (because my five point harness is welded to the cage , or do I trust certified welds that connect the whole structure together.) now thats just my opinion not everyone else will agree. The bars going to the wheel well are easier to install. You do lose the rear speakers, because the bars mount through the speaker grills. A welded cage is better, but I went with the bolt in cage (bar). If you can't weld (I can't) this is a good option. You can always have it welded at a later time. The 6 pt. bar really stiffens up the whole car.
