whats the best driveshaft for me?
car has a th400 trans and a 12 bolt. prolly need a custom shaft because of length and spline count with the th400. I want something that can handle up to 1,000hp. the car will realistically make 800. needs to handle 1.3-1.4 60fts leaving on a trans brake and 200+ shot nitrous.
I used to have a speed inc chromolly nitrous 3" shaft with my 6-speed. it was heavier than hell but it took many 1.40 60fts carryin the wheels with no issues. Is this prolly the best bang for the buck, just buy another one? I know aluminum is lighter but i've had a stock SS 3" aluminum one twist in half before and send shrapnel flyin out from under the car. i'd really like to never do that again. lol. and carbon fiber is out of my price range. what do you guys think?

Definitely use Precision Shaft Technologies (PST), we use them for all our stuff here at BMR Suspension. They are easy to work with, very helpful, and can generally get your parts to you in a very timely manner.

I have used Stranges C/M drive shaft, and almost all of PST's drive shafts and they are both top notch drive shafts. PST also makes a 4" aluminum that we have sold to a ton of high HP guys using a Strange C/M yoke.
