13.4? wtf?? @108.72???help!
please give some input on this. I made a post on this a while back but did not get answers. I ran a 13.4 @ 108.72, while walking it out of the gate (2.3 60 foot). Mods:
LTs, ory, cutout, lid.
Im afraid to break the rear that is why I took off so slow, but if i can get a good launch will that bring me into the 12 second mark? I am trying to figure out why I had such a high trap speed and crappy et. any suggestions or input are appreciated. like how to launch my m6 without breaking everything in the driveline.

Good luck launching, thats about right with no suspension mods.... Im about to get to test mine, lcas and panhard bar. I think the torque arm helps, but the biggest diff is gonna be your tires. Ill be honest, on stock tires I ran faster with trac control on when i was bone stock. my launching is alot better now, but it worked

well i would think the people breaking the rears are droppin the clutch at 5k plus. my suggestion if your going to baby it would be better than stock traction such as SFC sub frame connectors and LCA's lower control arms to help plant the rear without wheel hop. then better tires. 2.30 60ft is not good.

get some good tires I been 1.70 60 ft with bone stock suspension and nittos. now I have some et streets.
but the nittos hooked hard enough to pick up the front tires 2 inches

12s should be pretty easy with the good weather we're having. Launching an m6 can be tough and it really does take a bit of finessing to get it going. I normally tach mine up to around 2500 rpms and ride the clutch out aggresively. My 60' times are normally in the 1.8s on street tires with a best of 1.82. Good luck to ya.

i checked your fquick...a bolt on ls1 w/ stock suspension and drag radials will not pull your wheels. I know guys that have full suspension w/ skinnies and slicks making over 400 rwhp that dont lift the wheels launching at 4-5k

I know a guy with a 2000 firebird with some suspension, a 4.11 gear, and a baby 224 cam and mid length headers, who leaves wheels up on the street. And it only make like 360rwhp

i beg to differ, ive seen ppl pull wheels w/ bolt ons and stock sus. i however cut 1.49s and dont pull the wheels

btw do you have the gforce DR or the comp DR? the gforces are nice i cut a 1.69 on mine that were 295/35/18

I can find the video I guess. I just have to track it down. Its actually a member on here. And yes it is very light. Completely gutted, Full suspension, 9" 4.33 gear, bolt ons, ect.

I get 1.6x 60's with no suspension mods. The OP's biggest obstacle is his M6 and 10 bolt. Sticky tires and a hard launch could mean a busted 10 bolt.
But that said you can still shoot for 2.0 60's. That'll definately get you in the 12's and should be safe for the 10 bolt. If street tires can't get you there then Nitto 555R drag radials work pretty good for a street/strip tire. Just remember to heat them up real good before you launch. And don't get caught in the rain with them once they are less then 50% tread.
