Default Burkhart Quick Release Steering Wheel Kit

Anyone use this? and how hard was the install? I have seen quick releases for less but they all require welding the receiver lug to the shaft, is this just a bolt in kit or am I better off going for the cheeper kits and having a buddy weld the lug thing to the shaft?

If this just bolts right up then I may think about it, but 120 for the quick release hub is a little steep compaired to $30 for a universal GM quick release hub if both need to be welded on. Welding takes time and money plus working around someone elses schedule, so if this is a bolt in kit please let me know...

The burkhart piece does not need to be welded on, it slides onto the stock splines and bolts into place....

I vae it in my car and it works great.

Thanks.. That is what I was hoping, now I just need to see how my money situation looks. I am debating on this or the manual brake/ABS delete stuff...

Yeah, I just installed HDTV and a keg fridge in my dog house. I'm starting to like it there. The sleeper sofa is getting a bit uncomfortable.

Yes the buttons are 45/50 each and are momentary. We are not making a lot.

with the buttons being were they are. can you have your hand on the steering wheel and reach far enough over with your thumb? i have a speed car and would want to have my right hand on the shifter and my left thumb on the switch for a two-step.

thank you!

$45-50 is the norm for a momentary switch. I just payed that for my nitrous one in my Grant wheel.
