4.30s in an A4?
I am in the process of going back to an A4 from an M6....I have a 9" with 4.30s now, and I am wondering what size tire I would need to run to be able to make a full 1/4 run? Rev limit set at about 6,600?.. Would I make it on 28"s?
No spray for now...mods in sig...

What are your shift points, 6600? I've been shifting at 6800, 4.11 gear, and 28's. Best of 123mph on motor, car needs more gear to optimize the motor setup, or maybe I can just run more converter and make up for the gear. But optimally a 4.30 or 4.56 and more converter would get this car in the low 10's.
I'm around the limit of spraying 150 nitrous right now, I could spray 200 but not with more gear. A friend of mine said he sprayed his 346ci with a 300 shot when he went 9.4 a few years ago, and that was with 4.10's. Seems tight to me but the online gear calcs say that 142-144mph might be doable with 4.10's, 28's, and low 140's traps.

Anymore input on 26" vs 28" for my setup? All motor for now. Any advice on what tire size to go with my 4.30s? I dont want to crank past 6500 through the traps.

You can run the 4.30 with the auto, should be fine.
A 275/60 radial will fit with zero problems as long as the tires arecentered in the wheel well and the phb has the car centered, you'll just have to hit the inner lower fender in a little. The radials don't grow, so you can get away with 28 inches of tire height.
PUt a bias ply on, and that's a differnet story
