I ran the 275/50/15s on my 7.5" rims all last year, then made a switch to the 26x8.5 towards the end because I needed something new. The 275/50 is actually wider than the 275/60 by 1" of tread width, so I think I'll be alright. MT says 7.5"-9.5" for their rim.
