Does this look like a busted HAL to you?
Does this look like a busted HAL to you? I was swapping out wheels earlier today and noticed the following on the passenger side of my car. The last few times I've adjusted my front shocks, I've noticed that the passenger side was always really hard to get the **** to turn. Notice all the "funk" all over the shock body and the lower a-arm.
Does that look like a busted HAL to you guys??

Re: Does this look like a busted HAL to you? Hopefully they'll rebuild it for free. The shock is only 3 months old.
I'm going to call the vendor that I purchased them from in a few hours and see what kind of options I have (it's my daily driver). Hopefully they'll take care of me well.

Re: Does this look like a busted HAL to you? I had a used set, and one was busted, it was always at the full soft setting... Call them up and see... I sent mine to Hal himself and he redid it for $70.
Re: Does this look like a busted HAL to you? Thunder said it's under warranty. But that QA1 has to do the warranty stuff themselves. I'm still working on getting them to deal with it, it's seemingly difficult to talk to someone in warranty there.

Re: Does this look like a busted HAL to you? For anyone wondering, QA1 will outsource rebuild (non-warranty) work. I had two rebuilt this past spring from Naake Motorsports -- with QA1's recommendation.
