Default Race Car Progress Pics

I can now be one of those people that say “Ozite carpet is installed”. This stuff looks pretty good. It eats up razor blades and scissors. I went through one pair of scissors & 15 razor blades. My only complaint is that it does not seam together very well. And, I’m afraid it will wear quickly. I had to work in socks. Just moving around on it with shoes caused it to start “fuzzing” on the floor boards.

Madman, thanks for making the torque arm, travel limiters, & SYAB’s so quickly. Too bad I’m out of town and don’t get to see them until I get home in 2 weeks.

Its gonna fuzz up bad anywhere you disturb it. Use a floor mat and try not to mess with the rest of it. You did a really nice job though.

I'm not sure. It came with motor and with instructions to "hook throttle cable here and fuel line here". The instructions also said to remove black cover before starting.

Yours look great, I did mine today in ozite and I realized I suck at doing carpeting. I dont see it lasting very long, just getting and out of the car a few times its already wearing.

But you arent kidding about the razor blades, they get trashed after one or two cuts, you would think that carpet was made of titanium or something..

I'm using the ozite behind the front seats and Spectra infront of and under the seats. The spectra carpet at pep boys is thicker and way more durable its not even funny. The pile is 3x that of ozite and the same weight.

I might do that to keep it from getting messed up. I'm going to have to check out Pep Boys soon.

looking good. definitely makes me want to get working on mine again. i was under the impression a battery hold down in the rear like that wasnt legal in any classes. i thought you had to run an actual battery box. correct me if im wrong though.

NHRA requires a sealed battery box or a metal fire wall of .024" steel or .032" aluminum. Mine is constructed of .045" alumunum.
