Default Light-weight LT1 center console

Chopped the rear off my stock center console. Also deleted the e-brake. Will have it wrapped in black vinyl tomorrow.

Decent idea. How much weight did it drop? I doubt I'll do this as I like resting my arm where you chopped, but it is interesting. Post more pictures as you progress.

Well I did it for a few reasons. I sold the console lid on ebay for nearly $80, then after chopping off the back, the console weights around 5lbs. I think stock it was 15 or so? The e-brake handle had to weigh at least 5lbs to. Will post more pics after it is wrapped.

That does look awesome! I took my emergency brake out today so that would fill the slot rather nicely. Did you wrap it or take it some where?

Sure, but it may be a few weeks. I am painting my roll cage and the entire interior of my car black. I will post pics when it is all done.

Hmm, this is looking more appealing as you go along. I'll wait until I see it installed. It looks nice wrapped in the leather. I need to take one of my seats to get a hole patched so I could get it wrapped at the same time. Hmm....

Thanks, dropped a few pounds and made it look stock. Good way to delete the e-brake too. I do drive the car on the street so this should eliminate the "where's your e-brake" question.

It would look too plain w/o something there... Plus I have my engine start button in the cig lighter opening. Looks great all together. Once again, will post pics as soon as the inside/roll cage is painted.
