Default better 60ft but slower time?

I'm still in the middle of my suspension setup, but decided to go the track with my friends anyway and see how it does so far.
First pass is a 10.736 @ 129.693 with a 1.642 60ft
Then I went a 10.787 @ 127.207 with a 1.573 60ft

It did kind of feel like my clutch slipped in 4th gear on my last pass so maybe that had something to do with it.

what gears are you running. Tires size? With the mph your time should be better. You need to be crossing the finish line in 3rd gear at your max rpm. So your tire or gears are off

.

2 pass' are not enough to worry about. You hooked a little better, but had less HP on the 2nd pass.
Get more info before doing anything. They could have sprayed track, & the weather changed. Same results.
My 2 cents. Good luck.

I have 4.10 gears and a 28" tire.

I figured it could be a number of things, but it really got me thinking. I only get to go to the track a couple of times a year so I don't really have a lot of runs to compare it too, but hopefully I'll make it to the track a few extra times this year.

you're worried about hundredths on a timesheet with a 6 speed car You'll be all over the place and no where near as consistent with that as compared to a stalled auto.

It's not that, it's the fact that my times were faster from the 60ft all the way past the 1/8th mile, but then got slower at the end of the 1/4. I was just trying to get some peoples input if it was a regular thing people experience or not. I just got the videos though and it does sound like the clutch was slipping a bit. I'll post them up in a minute.

ET is ET... The mph difference is more than just a variation... It indicates you weren't getting the same power down to the track at some point. Your theory on slippage in 4th fits the symptom.

Yup, I drove the car last night and verified the problem. Clutch slips real bad now. I told myself I wasn't gonna spend anymore money on a clutch so I guess it's time to cross over to the dark side, lol.

That was precisely my thinking to. I spent 1200 on an awesome twin disk clutch setup, but then broke the tailshaft of the trans. Spending that much money on a clutch only to have to replace it after a couple years of beating it at the track. When you can run a well built th350 or th400 for about $1200 and it shouldn't break, but if it ever does, they are cheap as hell to fix. I just did the swap to a th400 and it was one of the best moves I made on my car.

I love TH400's but still have my t-56, when it dies I'll be going TH400 or P/G if I make enough power.

I'm sure it's a gearing issue, but I never shift out of 3rd. As I'm approaching the end of the 1/4, I'm closing on the top of the band for 3rd. Stock rear & stock tranny (M6). With what you've got, is there no chance of staying in 3rd?

depending on gear for him. I have 4.10s in mine, and I cross the 1/4 in 4th gear, with the shift lite on with a trap speed of 110 mph.

There's no way I'd cross the finish line in 3rd gear. I have 4.10s and a 28" tall tire. I finish the 1/4 at the very top of 4th. The issue was my clutch. After driving it around the following night I could instantly tell it was slipping. Only takes a blip of the throttle on motor to make it slip.

I love my t-56 too. I live about 30minutes from the major city that has the car scene around here and it's awesome to drive over there 70mph and only turning 1600rpms with 4.10s, but now I really want to try out an auto. Looking forward to a new setup that'll improve my times anyway.

I'm somewhat familiar w/the slip issue that and primarily I can't get the clutch pedal to come up fast enough (stock one as far as I know) because of that failure to bleed pressure back thingy. . .

I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about. Are you saying you're clutch pedal is sticking to the floor? If that's the case you need update your slave cylinder and at least do the drill mod to your master.
