Default same old question, how do I lower my 60'...

Hey guys,

I have been here for some time and I know ever setup is different, but what can I do to lower my 60'???

I will list out my mods and changes but even switching to a shorter slick over a taller drag radial didn't change it much...

Lightweight bolt-on LT1, the scales were not open last night so I didn't get a weight...

Suspension for the best un as follows;
!front swaybar
Front 12 way QA1/HAL's set on 3 (P) and 4 (D)
Rear Spohn stock mount drag bar
Comp engeneering rears shocks set on lightest setting
rear bumpstop removed and hose mod instead of the coil spring cusion
Everything else stock...

The rear is a 10 bolt with 3.73's...

Last season I ran in the same range as I did last night, that's the 1.637 - 1.640 range, but I had 275/60 15 M/T drag radials, and switched to a 26 X 9" hoosier slick. The slick is more consistant though which will help in racing, since my range was more extreme with the drag radial, swinging anywhere from 1.63x-1.66, with 1.66 as the norm. My best overall run from last season compaired to my best overall run from last night had the exact same 1.639 60'...

I know I need some more suspension and I am already working on getting rod-end adjustable LCA's and PHB, but what else should be on the list? A torque arm is on the list but with the price of the one I want it may be a few more months...

Any thoughts?

I would run the rear shocks on the stiffest setting from the photos it looks like it squats a lot. Comp engineering stiffest setting is 50/50.

I'd look into relocation brackets since you're not getting a torque arm yet, dropping the hole in the rear will hit the tire a little harder, try the 2nd hole 1st, then the bottom hole and see which works best.

Check your pinion angle and set it to -2.

Have the shocks set to the same rate in front, not sure why you offset them, but I am guessing to offset the body roll which you should tune that with your anti roll bar, put more preload on the passenger rear (lengthen the link 1/4 turn at a time until it leaves straight).

Rod end lca's are nice, but I'd wait on the panhard bar unless the rear isn't centered.

3,600 stall isn't much keep that in mind, but I am not sure what cam you're running, even for a stock cam ideal would be in the 4k range for drag racing.

Post some good (large size) photos and videos if you have them.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction, nice car btw.

so from a 28inch radial to a 26inch slick you 60' were slower?

if you dont ahve them get some front double adj coilovers and youll pick up some in the 60'

also you dont need 373 go to a 4.10

actually overall the slick is slightly faster and more consistant, but for my overall best time between the 2 setups I had the exact same 1.639 60'...
