Track Problems!
Track Problems! Well i went to the track yesterday for our opening day not knowing what the car will run. I got there early so i could test. I got 4 test runs in. The first two were junk as the car spun off the line and shifted early into 2nd and bogged. The third run was a bit better 7.8 in the 1/8th, then my fourth run i roasted the tires and ripped of a 7.48 with a 1.66 60ft time. So i thought i was set for eliminations. When it came time to run i had the same problem again. I did a good burnout, but the car spun off the line hit the limiter shifted into second bogged then took off like crazy giving me a crappy 8.0 run.
Does anybody have any advice on how to fix this problem? Should i try and shift it manually from first? Do i need taller tires i have 26x11.5x15 MT ET Streets now. I think they said a 28 will fit on here. When the car ran the 7.4 it felt great and there should be even more in it.

Wonder if its throwing any Codes, just because the ses light dosent come on dosent mean that it didnt throw a code which could be the cause of your engine retarding/bogging. Sounds like you have a huge traction issue but its trial and error you have to try diffrent Tire pressuers out and you may have to change how you burn out depending on the temp outside could also change things to. I dont know what you have for suspension but a nice set of shocks may help out like Koni or somthing that you can adjust at the track.
I didn't have any SES codes, i just had the computer looked at during the week and all the plugs changed. I running in open loop now. I tried pressures 16psi down to 13, i did not want to go too low with the ET Streets plus i do not have them screwed in my Bogart rims. The track temp was 91 degrees. I just have the stock suspension which i know is a problem. I'm hoping to get a set of LCS's soon, and then a torque arm someday. Just funds are limiting me. Oh Shocks also as i have the stock SS shocks still. Thanks for advice.
