Default Suspension unloading ... need advice.

Reposted with vid and pics.

My setup:

Strange 12-bolt w/ 3.73 gears, Adj BMR T/A, Bilstein HD shocks, SFC's, Panhard rod, LCA's, !Front Sway bar, stock height, full weight car (w/ seats, spare, front bar, etc removed), MT DR's 275/40R17 @ 21psi cold.

LCA's were in the bottom hole. but have been moved up. I measured the pinion angle at all points per the BMR write-up and the T/A is at -2.5. I'll be racing tomorrow morning. The track should be warm enough and the air cool enough to get some good testing done, so, i'll post back up when I get back.

Here are the vid and pics to critique. The tires plant hard ... the suspension unloads a few feet out ... then the suspension reloads again and sticks good. This was with the LCA's in the bottom hole. Adjustable QA's are in the works ... for now, I'll have to settle for the HD Bilsteins. What do you think? Is this LCA angle about right?

I saw the "bunnyhop" You need some shocks. Put the front swaybar back on for now and see if it helps. AND OR an airbag in the RR spring will also band aid it

The front is coming up so hard it is unloading the rear.

You make close to the same RWHP as me and I am running 11.00 at 3700 lbs, you need some shocks

David

Yeah David, I hear ya' and you're right. I just got back from the track and picked up over a full 1/10 (.108)faster ET and nearly 4/10 better 60' time (new times in sig) ... still didn't floor it ... just mashed it real hard.

All from moving the lower control arms up one hole. With shocks and a little more air pressure adjustment, the car's got lot more. DA must have been high as hell. It was about 80+ degrees and pretty humid @ 65 ft sea level. Time for some drag wheels and shocks now.

Watching the video, the weight transfer was steady and looks real good now. I'll post the vid up later tonight is anyone is interested. Thanks for evrybody here who have stuck with me and given good advice.

Yeah, that's what I'm looking at now. It's looking like that will be my next change ... probably will do skinnies at the same time to get the weight transfer to really work and to lighten up the car a little.

You can see the car squat right when the tires hit, so stiffer shocks for sure.

I did one thing yesterday which I think helped. The tires were at 21 psi on the first two runs. On the last run. I dropped the left rear down to 20 psi and left the right at 21 psi.

Since rear shocks are so easy to replace, I'll do them right away. I will say that the car has always left perfectly straight and appears to be squatting a little, but, evenl on both sides ... at least that's what I think I'm feeling inside the car.

Here's the vid from yesterday ... weight transfer looks a lot better than the original vid I posted last week:

Links don't work bro. I have some used C/E 3 way adjustables you can set to 50/50, have to be better than stock shocks, you pay for shipping I'll give them to you free.

Try this ... should work. As for shocks, I don't have stock shocks ... running the HD Bilsteins. I'm buying new QA's ... thanks for the offer, though. Let me know if this vid doesn't work. It should be OK ... if not, I can email it to you. It's only 7.8 mb.

I can't see too much, but either way you'll have new shocks and I am sure it will help either way.
