Cert down to 8.50 question

This came up when I had my car up on a rack recently.... Does a rollcage that will cert down to 8.50 have to punch THRU the floor and connect to subframe connectors or to the frame itself????? Cause if that's true I have some work to do....... I was under the understanding that it didn't but I could easily be wrong..... anyone got a link to the NHRA rule book????

Can the main hoop on a 25.5 be on plates Madman?

for the best strength in a cage the bars should be mounted to the connectors if possible. but if its welded to a thick enough plate in the right place its fine.
