Default Any Hoosier Guys?? Can I get your input THANKS!

OK Guys here is my dilema,

The Vehicle
2002 S-10 with a 370Cubic inch Iron block with a T76 turbo and some bottle for "antilag"

I Sold my drag lites last fall and am running a 16" tire now. On Mickey 275/60/15 drag radials the truck would 60 foot in the low 1.5x's a best of 1.50

MT still hasnt released the 295/50/16 Drag radial so its looking like im stuck with a bias ply.

I currently have the Mickey 28X10.50X16 ET STREET Bias ply and I HATE it. I can get a best of 1.64 sixty outta it and I have been up and down on the pressures with nothing better.

I am looking at hoosier options now after hearing how much most guys like their hoosiers.

Here are my new options

Hoosier 28x10x16 Full Slick
Hoosier 28X11.5X16 Quick Time Pro

I am worried the QTP is gonna be like the ET street I have now...

Any input of suggestions?

Here is a shot of the ET streets Just before they "un-wadded" and spun

i would run a drag radial before an et street or qt pro any day. the hoosier drag works just as well as the mt IMO. ditch teh ET street, esp the smaller ones.

if you HAD to chose b/w the hoosiers, the slicks flat out work. but i would look to the drag radials.

What about a radial slick? That rim looks a little narrow for that size tire you had on it. A wider rim will also let you run a little more air pressure.

Also you said up and down on air pressure, did you adjust the shocks at all? What are you running caltracks?

Yeah I was gonna say that too, I run the c06 radial slicks and they work great.
But, they only come in 30" (29.5 actual diameter) but they don't grow up top at all.

I personally think you're not getting the most out of your tires because of the 16" rim.
15" would work much better.

I have MT drag radials in 17"..swithced to ccw's and a 16" Hoosier slick and it made a big difference...I am /was running about 700 to rear wheels..and still would smoke them up most of the time..but not anywhere as bad as the ET Radials.
