Default Question about rims and tubes for slicks.....

If i have rims that have the valve stem hole already drilled bigger for running tubes, is it possible to ever run radials on it again?

i was told that once you run tubes that you are going to have to continue using them because you cant get a large enough valve stem to fit the hole needed for the tubes

is this correct or am i misinformed?

thanks

I think I remember reading somewhere that Jegs or Summit sold an oversize valvestem to compensate for the larger hole that was necessary for a tube, but not positive.... I would call them, see what they say.

Excalibur oversized valve stems. Part # 0359-501-4

I haven't used these yet but I am told they will do the job.

I got mine from Summit.
