Default what tire pressure in mid 10 second range

what tire pressure are you guys running with et drags.I only had the car out once last year and I ran 9.0 psi and after talking to a few people over the winter they told me that could be the reason for my bad 60fts(1.55 leaving at 5500 on the tbrake-no spin but lots of squatting)
they think I could go upto 15.0 on a good track prep.What do you guys run with 26 inch et drags and a well done suspention
am I expecting too much for a 1.39?

as much pressure as you can hook with...need to experiment....

17 on a good track and down to 12-13 on a bad track... 28 inch et drags

I know that is what I should do but I have a big race this Saturday.
I think I will maybe use 14 as a starting point and go from there(this race is known for incredible track prep)

ah good luck then. go with what works...a race isn't where you want to start messing with your settings...

I'd start high and go down in air each run, use the air pressure that gives you the best 60ft without losing too much mph. Don't forget to log each run and psi and rpm you leave at.

If you slow down or lose 60ft go back to your best last setting.

race weight has alot to do with tire pressure. a heavier car will require more tire pressure than a lighter car.

Rim width will also effect air pressure, a wider rim tends to need more air while a narrower rim you have to drop more pressure to get it right.

I've never heard of staggering air pressures in tires from left to right.

As mentioned above, race weight, rim selection and how each setting affects it will determine the best setting. I run my 28 x 10.5 M/T at 14.5 lbs on a 3500 lb car. I could run more but they burn the centers out of them. I ran them at 13 once at she got a little hairy at the top end.

Make sure you set them either hot or cold (but not back and forth), and if possible I'd log 2 runs on each setting (to "back up" or validate a bad or good setting).

we pull 1.3s with 10lbs on a 26" ET drag

I don't go below 12 psi cold with 28x10.5 ET Drags, when I have gone lower the car moves around past the 1/8th and feels mega sloppy.
