They are saying the throttle stuck open and powerd threw the chute and was doing 19X ish when he went off the end.
He walked away but not much left of the car.

The cage was pretty well intact where the driver was, that's what it's for, hopefully it can server as a reminder to people who don't want to bother with a cage or roll bar in their "street cars they race".

That's wicked. Saw a roadster jump the guardrail and go into the ditch, pulled the hoop on the cage off. Scary situation but the guy was ok, makes you think.

I have the sfi book for those dragsters (dont ask crazy project) and they do certinaly make the drivers area pretty strong, and also require collars on the steering shaft...looks like they work.
Glad he walked away from that.
