no I understand. I did the same thing over the winter when I had the cage done, had to put the car all back together, did the brakes, rear got rebuilt/upgraded, removed all the wiring, then redoing all the carpet, all the wiring that got redone, etc.etc.... all the crap that I did.. same deal.

I was working 2 jobs at the time, 65 hours a week and then trying to spend 15 to 20 hours a week in the garage. I think between january and april I aged 3 years.

The next round? Probably next year when I have the funds. It's up and running now (around 9.8 @ 139.x gonna try to make one more trip, maybe 2 this year to use up the tires and the rest of the fuel I have and see if we can't get a little more out of it) but I want to get a bunch of weight out of it, I'm just at the point that it really needs to get lighter if I want it to run any faster, that and a DP setup.

But, ya know how life is, I have a bunch of other stuff I need to get done first, finish off my garage, get a bigger truck, sell the open car trailer and get an enclosed, pay off my wife's car, bunch of stuff like that. Once tht **** is done I'm gonna get back to the car.

But, I'm gonna come up with a solid list of what needs to be done to get it to 2800 lbs, including losing what I can myself, if I can get it to a weight around that #, I think with the motor that's in the car I may get pretty close to what the chassis is certed for

i have the nitrous bottles mounted, nitrous system wired, car completely wired, system has been purged, and gauges are mounted...
now pretty much the fuel system is left along with mounting hood, aligning front end, scaling and a hooking up tranny linkage and throttle linkage.... maybe another 3-4 weeks?

i've been slacking here lately but im getting pretty tired of working on it.... plus the fiance was bitching REAL hard about it.... lol

Do you have a link where you got your wiring? You can PM me if you want. I am trying to re-plumb mine right now and need to get rid of the engine bay fuse box.. Thanks

actually i took a break from working on it at all for about 3 weeks or so...
now im finishing up some small stuff... mounting the fire bottle, finishing the throttle linkage... now whats left is
swapping rear springs (again)
bleeding brakes
indexing rotor button
hooking up shifter linkage to tranny
running lines to fire bottle
installing a spool
mounting and painting hood (i wont do either of these)
then lastly scaling the car
looks like the car has to weight 3400lbs

as soon as i set the car down again ill get some photos of it slammed on the ground ....
it looked very good with the front end as low as it is

its got a 2" drop spindle which ended up working out better than i thought

i thought about a lot of things but im just trying to keep it simple and run a decent class... sometimes it gets un-enjoyable if your constantly tearing up stuff and you dont know why.... nitrous will be *easier*

www.cheapstreet.com

that has the class im gonna run... decent payout and has been around a few years...
