Harness on stock seat?

I tried using harnesses with the stock Camaro seats. It just didn't feel safe to me at all. I hated how it felt, like it was about to slide off my shoulders. I just went ahead and bought a Kirkey pro street seat to swap out and go racing with. It only takes only four nuts to remove to swap the seat. I just bolted it in last night and it's pretty comfortable. I'm gonna take it for a long drive after work today and if it feels OK I'll get a matching one for the passenger side and just leave them in there.

Are they really comfortable? How is the incline? I'm almost 6'2", just over 300 lbs, I like my seat to recline a little. Basically where I set my seat now is all the way back and down (power seat), and reclined against my Wolf 6 pt.
If my fat *** could lay off the cheeseburgers I'd be running 8's and ****! Oh well, its easier to lighten a car than to lose weight.

I'm wrestling with the same issue now. I'm 6'3, 265lbs (-20lbs from last season .. yay me) 38" waist
Anyhow ... I love my stock seats, but with the rollbar and harness going in, I think I'm going to have to give them up.
I need something that is going to accomodate my wide uh ... "frame" and be comfy enough to do the 3-8hour cruise thing.

Yup on camaro seats. When I put the 5point harness in my car for the 1st time, and setting the sholder straps was like WTF this isn't gona work. I just went thu pulling some gears and the sholder straps fell right down over my arms.
So I just used the seatbelt, at the shootout. I thought it was safter, but going somthing about it for this year, probally a Kirby pro 15-16inch

I still run a stock seat in my car, but they have been modified to accept the harness, i drive the car on the street alot and enjoy the comfort of the stock seats, i will probably switch to an aftermarket kirkey seat sometime this year just for peace of mind....
