They use a special scraper or something to peel the adhesive out. The body shop is going to show me how to do it.

I got a special way too its called a hammer LOL. I'll look it up on the net and see if I can find it but I'll be at the track all weekend at Famoso Raceway here in Cali.

i think the f-body weight guide on here lists the hatch and glass at over 100. I might be mistaken....

but even if it's 90 lbs with glass lexan AND the hatch would add up to like 15 lbs.....

So you'd lose an easy 75 lbs..... I think that hatch is more than 90 though... Hell the stock steel hood is like 45 lbs..... that hatch is enormous....

I talked to Percy's speed glass last year about this and the weight savings of doing the ENTIRE car (windshield, roll downs, hatch) was like 76 lbs. Not worth it at all IMO.

another question. on the a-pillar how would you fasten the window down. if you drill and put screws thru there it would take a 4 inch screw to go thru to lock nut it.

If you don't glue it, you can weld little tabs to the window frame and mount it that way.

I plan on just sticking a premolded piece of speedglass in my stock 93 hatch.

20 lbs on the front windsheid is the weight savings.I have a percys 3/16 front windsheild with the black ring panted all the way around like stock and also has the moulding and was guled in like stock.When done right its hard for people to notice it's lexan.
