Show me pics of your car. I want to either mini-tub or back-half my ws6. What are the advantages/disadvantages. I don't know anything about back-halved cars, so what do i need to know. I understand that you loose the TA, but thats about the extent of my knowledge on the matter.

I back halfed my 65 nova, I am doing a full tube frame on my 98 camaro now. Stock suspension will let you run more classes, big tires will force you to run fast classes or bracket race.
If that doesn't matter and you just want a big tire on the car depends on how big you want to go, I am going to run a 33x17 on mine, my old car ran a 33x16.5. I love the look of big tire cars, every one has their opinion and preference depends on what you want to do. If you run a 30x10.5 that will fit fine with just tubs.
It's much cheaper to mini tub vs. back half, if you can do the work, like weld and fabricate tin a back half is cool, if you have to pay someone to do all the work it gets expensive quick.
Here is my old car and my new project.

Unless you are making some sick power or running very tight bracket races, large tires are overkill. Or if you like the look, that is fine too, but nothing feels better than beating a back-halfed race car on a little 10" tire!

I actually put tubs in mine before I decided to go full tube frame. Everyone has their preference, I like back halfed cars, can still run smaller 10.5w tires or step up to the big rollers if you want to.
My friend has a tubbed nova that has a 31x13 on it now and we're going to run a 33x10.5w.
Here are photos of my 40" tubs with stock suspension.

I have not measured the tub size as of yet, we will be building our own tubs but I'm guessing they should be around 40" like yours were
I love the way it looks, gives you the look of a big tire car from the side and the look of a small tire from the rear

I used a 40" tub, if you tilt it forward some you can cover from front to the back in one piece, you can see the front of my old ones. I used aluminum ones. I went a little wider, my tub to fender is 17" I tucked in my LCA's some and moved the shocks in 1" and moved the 2 1/2" coilover springs all the way inside.
