Default Lets talk 60fts. & ETs.

Ok, the best i got from my bolt-on 158K M6 97 Z28 was a 13.79 @ 101 with a 2.17 60ft., this was back in better air, now keeping in mind the DA being the same, my goal is to start seeing 1.95 range 60fts. with street tires & 1.8 range with DRs, what would you guys guesstament my ETs would be with those drops in 60ft. times, lets say from the 2.17 to say a 1.85 60ft. I'm just curious.

Ok, shouldn't it double, for every .1 in the 60 is worth .2 at the other end? Not that i wouldn't be happy with 13.3-13.4s, but dropping .3 off the 60ft. should be worth around .5 or more in the 1/4 shouldn't it?

Going from a 2.17 to a 1.87 is .3 tenths, so wouldn't be worth .6 in the 1/4

Just for comparison, i made 2 back too back runs that day, i was surprized at the difference in ET in the 1/4

1st. run
2.23 60ft.
6.047 330
9.218 660 @ 78.88
11.87 1000 ft. @ 91.26
13.97 1/4 @ 101.01

2nd. run

2.17 60ft.
5.871 330
9.033 660 @ 79.45
11.69 1000 ft. @ 91.22
13.79 1/4 @ 100.69

It is a M6 car, so maybe it was my shift points, i don't know, but where it picked up was in the 330 & held from there.

Some people see as much as .2, but .15 is safer/more realistic for every .1 you drop in the 60'.

1st pass after we scaled the car this weekend we went 1.41 60ft 9.81 ET, we adjusted tire pressure and went 1.34 60ft and went 9.64 ET, the difference was .07 in the 60ft and we went .17 faster in the 1/4. So we saw a hair over 2:1 60ft improvement to 1/4 ET.

Just keep in mind that not ever 60ft is the same (even when it is the same)...

Case in point... you can bog the car off the line and still hit a 2.1 60ft yet your times will be slower than if you slip the clutch, spin a little and still get a 2.1 60ft.... that's why it's hard to state what you will drop off going from a 2.1 to a 1.960ft... if you are struggling to get off the line clean on your 2.1 60ft and then toss on DRs you might drop an entire half second off...but if you are doing really well on street tires leaving the line and toss on DRs then bog (but still pull a 1.9 60ft) you might only drop a tenth or two.

Variables... *sigh*
