Default Lost ground to starter relay

I have had my camaro apart for a few months and also put a new motor in it. I took out some of the wiring I didnt need anymore since Im running a th400 and no abs. Now my car wont start unless I ground the starter relay. What am I missing?

Did you reconnect the harness inside the cabin at the passengers feet. On my 98 it is 3 plugs that come in to the cabin under the PCM. I know for a fact that if these are not plugged in, the starter will not work..ask me how I know....lol

Thats hooked up. I did take some other stuff out of the car, like power windows and a few other items. I am wondering if the relay gets a ground through something else?

The BCM (anti-theft) controls the starter relay ground, if you took that out thats why. There is also the neutral switch wiring under the dash as well. Get a wiring diagram..

x2. the BCM provides the final ground to the relay.

I thinks thats it. I took out the anti-theft and vats. The neutral switch is hooked to my new shifter. Thanks
