Get the stuff from pep boys for the front and the ozite for the back. You'll thank me later.

4 yards for the car without the trunk, I'd get 2 yards to do the trunk

The pep boys stuff is more durable and will withstand actual use.

The Ozite will come apart if used, some of the installs reported decent fuzzing from wearing shoes while installing.

I have the pep boys stuff in the front and used my old ACC molded for the rear section. The pep boys stuff will fall apart with no floor mat pretty quick but it is better then regular ozite thats for sure. You could just buy two rolls of the pep boys stuff

I've got pics in my thread in Drag racing tech for my Mustang build. The pep boys carpet is much more durable than the ozite. I used black on both sides and you can't tell except the nap is thicker on the pep boys.

I have always just kept a floor mat in the car on the drivers side and haven't had any major problems with the ozite wearing out.

In a daily driver this stuff would definately not hold up, but for racing applications it's not bad. I had it in my car all last year and it was in good shape coen the end of the season, I did rip it out and redo it this year, but that was becasue I had the 6 pt converted over to a 10 pt, and rather then trying to leave it and take the chance of a couple weld sparks melting it up I just pulled it out and replaced it.

I'm gonna leave it in over the winter this year, no way am I gonna need any chassis updates this year, hell it's gonna be a LONG time before I need to worry about a 8.50 cert not being enough.

I bought black but should have done dark gray, you can see the contrast with the stock floor mat. I have a 98 though and a newer one with the black interior would be OK with the black I'm sure, you dont realize how gray the 98 plastic is until you put black carpet in

I'm going to do it over soon anyhow, I dont like the way it came out really but its race car quality so its good enough for now.

The dark charcoal is a perfect match to the stock ebony carpet.

KP you running an air shifter?

I love the way you put the pull for the fire system in the cigarette lighter outet, ironic, and clean at the same time. Your car has always been an inspiration to try to make my junk nicer

I have an ACD air shifter, makes the car a lot more consistent, if I had a glide I wouldnt use it but the 1-2 shift comes pretty quick and I miss it and pop the limiter a lot of times trying to drive the car. Works flawless, here is a pic without the console on, lot of crap under there..

Actually the fire pull thingy is right above the lighter, I still need the lighter socket for the radar detector every once in a while, little better pic. There is black pep boys carpet in both pics so its still on topic lol.

Simple is usually the best way for me, I'm too lazy to do it the complex way
